Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known work is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as Speech and Family Therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
