Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4, 1954), is a Canadian-American actress and comedian. O'Hara has been the recipient of numerous prizes, including an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara was first recognized as an actress in 1974 when she was a member of The Second City in Toronto. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd as co-stars, she was in the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara joined Candy in the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received critical acclaim both for her acting and writing skills, and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award, 1981, for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
